Internships

Congressman Rogers offers internship opportunities in Washington, D.C. for college students and recent college graduates. While priority is given to constituents of Kentucky’s Fifth District, all candidates that submit completed applications will be considered. Interns in the Washington office can spend six weeks to a semester performing a variety of administrative and legislative duties, and have the opportunity to experience the inner workings of a Congressional office.

Interested students may be eligible to receive college credit for their work, if approved by their school before beginning the internship. Additionally, candidates selected for internships will receive a small stipend from the U.S. House of Representatives to help defray the costs of living. However, housing is not provided and must be secured by the intern prior to arriving in Washington.

Summer internships are generally between June and August; spring internships from January to May; and fall internships from August to December.

To apply for an internship in Congressman Rogers’ office, please send a completed application by e-mail to internshipsrogers@mail.house.gov.
