WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Rep. Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05) voted for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2027, H.R. 8800, authorizing federal funds for military upgrades and restoration, personnel policies, industrial base reforms, and national security priorities.

“The cornerstone of America’s military strength is our highly trained warfighters who are equipped with next gen weapons to win. America’s Arsenal of Freedom deters our adversaries and secures continued peace through strength. The NDAA provides the blueprint to keep warfighters ready and prepared for victory,” said Congressman Rogers, Dean of the House. “I’m proud of the defense industrial base in Southern and Eastern Kentucky that supports our American military heroes. This bill expands and invests in U.S. production capabilities, creating more jobs and revitalizing our military strength.”

The FY27 NDAA boosts pay for our troops and improves housing, education and childcare for military families.

The legislation strengthens nuclear deterrence, expands missile defense and targets resources and authorities to counter adversaries like China, Russia, Iran and North Korea. It also restores lethal capabilities by expediting production and accelerating game-changing technologies including quantum computing, hypersonics and autonomous systems.

It advances more than 65 of President Trump’s Executive Orders to restore peace through strength, cuts wasteful Pentagon programs and enhances oversight and accountability of military spending.
