WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Rep. Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05) voted for the Streamlining Procurement for Effective Execution and Delivery and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (SPEED Act and FY26 NDAA), which passed the House on Wednesday.
The bill fast-tracks equipment for our military, removing burdensome red tape to speed technology and resources for America’s defense.
“We are securing President Trump’s mission to secure peace through strength, starting with improvements to our military supply system. The process to purchase equipment for our military is broken, holding back resources that our warfighters need to keep the American people safe. We’re cutting the timeline in half,” said Congressman Rogers, Dean of the House. “This bill also speeds the delivery of military weapons and critical technology, paving the way for the Golden Dome, and creating a pilot program that will move innovation forward with AI, cyber training and the latest technologies.”
The legislation also provides a 3.8% pay raise for our service members and supports military construction for family housing.
The bill now moves on to the Senate for consideration.
