WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Rep. Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05), Dean of the House, voted for the Continuing Resolution and Extensions Act of 2026 on Friday to keep the federal government running past the end of the fiscal year on September 30, with a clean, short-term funding bill through November 21, 2025.
The House Appropriations Committee finalized and passed all 12 federal funding bills for fiscal year 2026, including three which have already been passed in the House. The House is now working with the Senate through a bipartisan conference committee to advance federal funding for 2026 over the next seven weeks.
“Despite Democrats’ efforts to pile on deal-breakers, like an additional $1.4 trillion in spending and reinstituting free health care for illegal immigrants, this extension is clean and simple,” said Congressman Rogers. “We have worked diligently to sort through every single funding bill, hosting dozens of hearings, and addressing hundreds of amendments and requests for every sector of government spending through our work on the House Appropriations Committee. As we finalize our work with the Senate, this continuing resolution keeps the government running for the American people.”
The continuing resolution keeps all federal funding in place at current levels to ensure no critical federal programs are cut short on September 30.
